Steve Read

director / cinematographer

Steve originally made a name for himself in the 90‘s, as the founding art director of the hugely influential men’s magazine Loaded.

Since then he has won numerous awards and accolades as designer, art director, photographer and most recently as documentary film director, for his debut doc for Channel Four ‘Knockout Scousers.’

Filmed over two years and in five countries, Knockout Scousers follows the lives of three talented young boxers from Liverpool, as they strive to make the GB Boxing team and qualify for the 2012 London Olympics.

Steve has travelled the world and worked with many of its most engaging habitants; sharing the stage with rock star Michael Stipe, the road with Hells Angel chief Sonny Barger, a cigar with movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and an Olympic Dream with GB boxer Tom Stalker...

...and now a year with the Numans.
